How country-hotel booking with IMPT actually works

How to book a country hotel via IMPT and what the carbon offset means for your stay.

You search a destination on app.impt.io, pick a country hotel, book at the standard rate. IMPT pays for one tonne of UN-verified CO₂ to be retired on-chain against your booking ID. You don't pay extra. The hotel doesn't pay extra. IMPT funds it from its commission. That's the entire mechanic.

Why country hotels make particular sense

Country hotels are typically smaller, older buildings — lower embodied carbon than new-builds — and usually run on shorter local supply chains. The booking-side IMPT offset adds a tonne on top of an already lower-carbon baseline. For travellers who care about the operational footprint, that's about as clean as a paid hotel night gets.
